Research: Trade-offs in Rollup Solutions
Rollup technology is a viable option for solving some of Ethereum’s scaling issues. Rollups come in different flavors, each with its own set of trade-offs across throughput, latency, security, usability, and operational costs. In this research piece, Kyber provides a Rollup analysis framework around the trade-offs between various Rollup implementations e.g. ZKSync, Aztec, Starkware, Loopring, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Fuel.
We hope our research can provide teams with a good starting point when considering which Rollup approach is best suited for their needs, and it also informs Kyber’s own scaling plans down the road.
